DR. JOAN LYNCH
MB, BCH, BAO, BMed, Sc Dip Derm, MICGP
A Bantry native, Dr. Lynch graduated from University College Dublin in 2002. Following a year in Australia, she then undertook a 4 year Specialist Training Programme in General Practice in Cork Scheme, completing this in 2007.

She has worked in Bandon, Blackpool and Mayfield before ultimately making the decision to move home to Bantry.
​
During her training, Dr. Joan spent time in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has maintained her interest in this area. She has specialised qualifications in Family Planning and provides a full range of contraception services including insertion of Mirena coil, IUD’s and implanon.
​
She completed a post graduate qualification in Dermatology through the Mater Hospital in Dublin. She has a keen interest in skin and dermatology.
​
Dr. Lynch is a volunteer on the UCD Merit Project whereby she attends cardiac arrests in the local area to assist in the emergency services.
